Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer came on Friday afternoon for a visit to the Western Wall and to the Western Wall Tunnels.She was greeted by Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, rabbi of the Western Wall and holy sites, and Mr. Mordechai (Suli) Eliav, director of the Western Wall Heritage Foundation.The Governor placed a note between the stones of the Wall and remained for some time to watch the worshippers and visitors at the Western Wall Plaza.The Governor took a tour of the Western Wall Tunnels, guided by the Director of the Western Wall Heritage Foundation who showed her fascinating archaeological findings and told her about the age-old yearning of the Jewish nation for Jerusalem. The Governor was deeply impressed by the deep connection between the Jewish nation and Jerusalem and the Western Wall, and signed the guest book with:
"Thank you for a phenomenal visit and long time important relationship with the State of Michigan". (Governor of Michigan and friend to Israel)
Mr. Andrew Wheeler, Administrator of the US Environmental Protection Agency, came for his first visit today (Monday) to the Western Wall as part of his visit to Jerusalem.
The Administrator was very excited by the visit and said that this is his first visit to the Western Wall and that he is very happy about the US embassy move to Jerusalem.
Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, rabbi of the Western Wall and holy sites, recited chapter 121 of Psalms with Mr. Wheeler and blessed him with the blessing of King Solomon that all his prayers and those of his country be fulfilled.

This morning (Monday), members of the management of the Argentinian national football team came to the Western Wall. The delegation was led by President of the Argentine Football Association Claudio Tapia who said "Despite last week's sensitive security situation, we decided to come. It is an honor to pray at the central place of the Jewish nation and the entire world. Next time we will stay longer and come with everyone to learn more about this holy site."The delegation was met by Rabbi of the Western Wall and holy sites, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, and the Director of the Western Wall Heritage Foundation, Mr. Mordechai (Suli) Eliav who recited Psalms with them. The management members even placed notes between the Western Wall stones.

the crane situated in the plaza will be dismantled today between 3 pm and 3 am. For safety reasons, the upper plaza will be closed, and therefore, the entrances to the Western Wall plaza will be closed for short intermittent periods of time. The adjacent parking lot will be closed as well. The Western Wall Heritage Foundation ushers will be available to assist visitors and will do all they can to minimize any disturbance to worshipers and visitors.

Ivanka Trump shared her husband's visit to the Western Wall
Following the completion of the Western Wall Heritage Center frame, the Western Wall Heritage Foundation, in cooperation with the Israel Antiquities Authority, has begun work on connecting the Roman Cardo road exposed over a decade ago at the Western Wall Heritage Center with the findings uncovered under Strauss House in the Western Wall Tunnels.
The Western Wall Heritage Foundation is continuing to develop the Western Wall Plaza for the benefit of the visitors coming to the Western Wall.
